Welcome to NAMASTE Photography

Namaste Photography is a small, owner-operated, photography business. I shoot landscapes, both rural and urban. Among the photographers who have inspired me are Berenice Abbott, Ansel Adams, Eugene Atget, Bruce Barnbaum, Craig Blacklock, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Jack Dykinga, Dorothea Lange, Elliott Porter, Tina Modotti, & Edward Weston. Favorite locations include Chicago, NYC, the North Shore of Lake Superior, the South Dakota badlands, Colorado, New Mexico, and the red-rock canyon country of southeastern Utah and Northern Arizona. Favorite locations include Italy, Guatemala, and Scandanavia. I have been doing photography seriously for about 10 years. Most recently I have  become enamored with taking black/white photographs. There is nothing more dramatic than a well-visualized, technically proficient, and beautifully printed b/w photograph. For my b/w printing I employ Jon Cone's carbon-pigment based inks using a converted Epson 3880 printer. Preferred papers include Hahmemule photo rag bright white, Ilford gold fibre silk, and Canson infinity photographique.
